First of all, Suikoden Tactics. Easy to say, one of my absolute favorite games. The plot is new and very original, your father is researching "Rune Cannons" and you tag along with him. When you find out the horrible truth behind them, and what unfolds, the story gets more interesting...
Voice acting -
The voice acting was good. Seneca and Andarc were the best in my opinion. Kyril was good too, but Seneca and Andarc overshadowed him. The rest of the cast of voice actors did a good job as well. I never felt the cringe I sometimes get when i hear a bad voice actor. I give them a 8.5 or 9.
Graphics -
The graphics were alright, but they weren't stunning or something to brag about. They weren't usually bright and cheerful but rather dark and gloomy. It gave the game a serious tone for fighting your enemies. I give them an 8.
Story/plot -
The plot of the game is detailed and original. As you progress through the story and more things are known unto you, it draws you in, and your desire to slay these rune cannons becomes increasingly strong. I will say however, there is a great deal of talking. A very few times I found myself saying "Enough already". I give it an 8.4
Characters -
The characters are loveing and endearing. Seneca and Andarc and Yohn all love and look after Kyril, as well as each other. My favorite character was Andarc, though he was not as good in fights as Kyril or Seneca.
Sometimes you will have a option to talk to the other characters. This makes your bond with each other stronger. Also, some characters die for good if they are killed. Which makes the game even more difficult. If one of your favorite characters die in a long, tough battle, do you restart, or go on without them?...
I did not find any characters annoying therefore I give them a 10.
Gameplay -
I love the gameplay, but then again, I love the tactics style layout. Some may not like it at all, as it is quite different.
In the game, you can assist and protect your allies if you are close to them. I find this to be very cool in a game with monsters all around you. The maps themselves are long and hard. But you can save in the middle of a fight, and come back later. So, I didn't mind the long fights.
Music -
Music was good overall. Some were very catchy and unique. Some of the towns you stop at will have great music, and you'll want to stop at those towns more often. However the battle music lacked something in my book. It was too soft or .... it just didn't have the awesome battle music like other games did. On the good side though, it wasn't repetitive. I give it an 8.
I definitely recomend this game if you like tactics style games like Final Fantasy tactics or Disgaea.
